The Charlotte Business Journal’s inaugural Best Doctors special report recognizes the foremost physicians in the area and is published as a resource for readers seeking medical services. This section comprises more than 400 physicians in a broad range of specialties who were voted by their peers as the best of the best.

The listings were compiled by Best Doctors Inc. of Boston through a biennial peer-review survey of the medical profession. The Charlotte Business Journal  publishes the area physicians from Best Doctors’ national database. Best Doctors uses a combination of telephone interviews and information technology to determine which physicians to include.
